Eighth meeting: Lesson 6, Doko de Tabemasuka? (where did you want to eat?)

Continue with previous lesson, now we learn how to ask about the place we are going to eat.

Additional example of food:

ハンバーガー /hanbaagaa = hamburger        うどん /udon = udon
カレー /karee = curry                                     そば /soba = soba
ピザ /piza = pizza                                           すし /sushi = sushi
ラーメン /raamen = ramen

Example of conversation:

A         : きょうは どこで たべますか?   “Kyoo wa doko de tabemasuka?” (Today, where are we going to eat?)

B         : Mc D でたべましょお。   “Mc D de tabemashoo.” (Let eat at Mc D.)

A         : ハンバーガー ですか?   “hanbaagaa desuka?” (hamburger, isn’t it?)

B         : はい。ハンバーガーは おいしい でえすよ。   “Hai. hanbaagaa wa oishii desu yo.” (Yes. that hamburger is very delicious.)

A         : じゃあ、いきましょお。   “Jaa. Ikimashoo.” (Ok,Let go there.)

Order food.

Cashier            : いらっさひませ。  ”Irasshaimase.” (Welcome.)

Customer         :  すみません、ハンバーガー ふたつと フライドポテト ひとつと コーラ みっつ。   “Sumimase. hanbaagaa futatsu to furaido-potato hitotsu to koora mittsu.” (Excuse me, I will like to order two hamburgers, one friend potatoes and three colas.)


Cashier            : はい、どうも ありがとうございました。   “Hai, doomo arigatoogozaimashita.” (alright, thank you.)
