Twelfth meeting: Lesson 10, Karendaa (Calendar)

On this week, also a continuous from previous meeting which is in lesson 9 about daily life. However, I couldn’t make to come to the class due to some circumstances that I faced. But, this is some notes that I got from my friend:
First of all, we make some revision about we learn last week about position.

Sensei ask us about our room.

わたしの へやは せまいくてちいさいです。
Watashi no heya wa semai kute chiisai desu.
My room is small and narrow.

べっどとたなととけえと があります。
Beddo to Tana to Tokee ga arimasu.
I have bad,wardrobe and clock in my room.

てれびは ありません。
Terebi wa arimasen
I dont have television.

にんぎょおうは べっどの うえに あります。
Ningyoo wa beddo no ue ni arimasu.
The doll is on the bed.

いじょです。
Ijo desu.
That all.

Next we learn about Kanji in Topic 4 and 5.


1.  大きい = おおきい   Ookii menas Big
Example : わたしの いえは 大きいです。
My House is Big

2. 小さい = ちいさい Chiisai means Small
Example : へやは 小さいです。
My Room is Small

3. 新しい = あたらしい Atarashii means new
Example : このべっどは 新しいです。
My Bedroom is new

4. 古い = ふるい Furui means Old
Example : この でんわふるいです。
This telephone is old.

5. 1 = いちじ Ichi ji means one o'clock. Ji refers to time.
Example : いま 2時 です。 
Its 2 o'clock.

6. 30= さんじゅぷん Sanjuppun means 30 minutes or half an hour
Example : 5時30分に おきます。 
I wake up at 5.30 am

7. 1時半 = いちじはん Ichi ji han means one thirty
Example : 7時半に だいがこに いきます。
I go to University at 7.30 am

8. 月=つき Tsuki means Moon but here its refer to month
  Example : げつようび Getsuyoubi Monday
  or いちがつ Ichigatsu January

9. 火曜日=かようび  Refer to fire but here is Kayoubi Tuesday

10. 水 =みず Mizu means water
Example : 水よい日 Suyoubi Wednesday

11. 木よう日  Mokuyoubi Thursday if is means tree only.

12. 金よう日 Kinyoobi Friday but if is only    its means gold or money

13. 土よう日 Doyoubi Saturday but if is only   its means soil

14.日よう日 Nichiyoobi Sunday but if it is Sun

Then, about this week lesson, we learnt about calendar and activities that may related to it. Sensee told us to write our birthday in Japanese. My birthday is 8th May 1995 will be write as 1995 せん58. In Japanese, the order of date will start with year, then month and lastly day. Then, we need to send a birthday (おたんじょうび/ otanjoubi) wish to our friend. This my wish to my friend, Muzakir:
ムザキルさん、
“Muzakir-san”
おたんじょうび おめでと!

“otanjoubi omedeto!” (happy birthday!)
